Cookie Policy
This policy explains the necessary and optional browser technologies used by NSEJS.com and how families in India can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies may use local identifiers or send limited technical information. Some are needed for security and site operation; optional analytics helps us understand aggregated use only after the applicable consent choice.
2. Categories used on NSEJS.com
| Category | Purpose | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Security, WordPress administration where relevant, page delivery and remembering privacy choices. | Active because the site cannot reliably provide these functions without them. |
| Statistics | Optional Google Analytics measurement of pages, downloads and non-identifying funnel events. | Off until the applicable visitor choice permits it. |
| Marketing | Advertising, remarketing or cross-site profiling. | Not used. Child-directed behavioural monitoring, remarketing and targeted advertising are prohibited. |
3. Expected cookies and technologies
| Name or family | Provider and purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
cmplz_*
|
Complianz; records privacy choices and banner state. | Up to 12 months. |
_ga, _ga_*
|
Google Analytics; distinguishes browsers and maintains measurement state after statistics consent. | Up to 2 years, depending on configuration. |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads and coordinates approved measurement tags. GTM itself is not treated as permission to set optional analytics or advertising storage. | Depends on the approved tag and consent state. |
| WordPress/security technologies | Protects administration, tests cookie support and supports secure delivery. Visitor-facing names may vary with the active security and hosting configuration. | Session or as required for security. |
This list must be rechecked with a production cookie scan immediately before launch and whenever a plugin, embedded service or advertising feature is added.
4. Your privacy choices
The prepared banner provides equally available Accept optional cookies, Reject optional cookies and Manage preferences actions. A persistent Privacy choices control will allow the decision to be reviewed or withdrawn.
- Rejecting optional cookies keeps optional analytics off.
- The eligibility checker, information pages and paper downloads remain usable without optional consent.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected by the configured consent layer.
- A changed choice takes effect through the consent system and is applied on later page loads.
NSEJS.com does not use consent as a route to behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.
5. Browser controls
Browsers can block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect necessary security or preference functions. Browser deletion does not itself communicate withdrawal to other systems, so use the site’s Privacy choices control or email us when a personal-data request is needed.
6. Changes and re-scanning
We will update this policy when cookie purposes, providers or retention periods change. YouTube, Maps, reCAPTCHA, social embeds, advertising and remarketing must not be added without a new consent and cookie review.
